I'm not sure if the coupon is printable, or what-- I'm new to this- but apparently this website does this once a week! GOOD LUCK everyone!!!

If you're new to Walgreen's, check out my Walgreen's 101 lesson on the left side bar at the top of the page! Don't forget, each printable coupon can usually be printed twice- giving you more freebies! If you're buying something that will get you RR's, don't buy more than 1 of each item on each transaction!!! (Unless it calls for you to buy 2 or so, to get the RR's!) It will only print a RR for the first item!

Woo! Sorry I haven't updated everyday like I normally do! This weekend flew by, and it was very busy!!

I have alot of deals/freebies that I need to show off!!

Walmart:

(5) Frank's Redhot Sauce: 86¢ everyday price. I got them for an overage of 14¢ each. So I got "paid" 70¢ to buy these. Stores won't normally hand you the change, so we got a drink.

(4) Packs of Bar-S Hotdogs- FREE. I thought they would be 5¢ per pack, but the price was 50¢ ea, not 55¢ before my coupons!

Subtotal- $6.30

Total OOP (out of pocket): $1.80

RR's earned: $1

Total: 80¢

Total Savings: $28.34 Percent: 97 %

BUT- I can only "count my savings" once. So I always count my register rewards on the order in which I earned them. This is just to show off the things I spend my RR's on! I know I can't count my savings twice!!

(2) Edge shave gels

(1) Right Guard Deodorant (wrang up wrong)

(1) Right Guard Deodorant (wrang up right)

To learn much more about Walgreens, and how the Register Rewards can work for you- check out Money Saving Mom's blog here:
http://www.moneysavingmom.com/money_saving_mom/2008/01/walgreens-101.html

Food for thought: I have never been one to shop at Walgreens at all, until recently. The way RR's helps me is that I can buy things out of pocket, get Register Rewards, and use those for formula.
So you can look at it 2 ways: I'm buying the stuff, and getting my formula for free.... OR I'm buying my formula (which I would anyways!) and getting all of the stuff for free!
The way I see it: I'm going to spend money out of pocket each week anyways for formula. Why not spend the money out of pocket for things that will give me register rewards, then turn around and use the RR's on formula!?

Really check it out, it could save you loads of money!!

Addition to the last post-

I always forget to add my totals from everything today, here goes...

Total OOP: (out of pocket): $31.38

Total Savings: $73.81

Total RR, and OYNO "cash" coupons: $9

OOP minus RR and OYNO: $22.38

Not too shabby if I may say so myself!

Week-end Deals, Freebies, and Money Makers!

Since the sales and ads end today, I had to do my week's end shopping! It's a little bit easier to get it all done in one day, instead of a few evenings during the week, BUT by the time I get to Walgreen, or CVS- the freebie items are usually GONE. So from now on, I will be doing my CVS and Walgreens shopping early in the week to get my money makers, and freebies!!

I started today off at Walgreens-

Roots of Nature Hair Strengthening Moisturizer- On sale for $6.00.

Used a $1 coupon. Paid $5.38 oop, and got back $6 RR.

For those that are unfamiliar with Walgreens: For certain items you buy, you get a print out called Register Rewards. It's like cash that can be used on your next purchase at Walgreens. So sometimes you may come out of pocket to buy something, but you will get "paid" a RR for the same amount of money, or even more. So 'technically' I got 'paid' 62 cents to buy this item.

Then I headed off to Target where I was expecting lots of great deals! Some things were just not what I liked, so I didn't waste my money. Other items were out, or weren't on the same sale as posted.I can't seem to find my receipt, so I may be off by a few pennies? I got:

(2) Velveeta Shells and Cheese: on sale for $1.67 each. Got them for 67 cents each.

(2) Coppertone Sunscreens: FREE.

My next savings spot was Kroger! This one was a good deal!!

(6) Kraft BarBQ sauce. (3 Honey, 3 Original) Notice they are 55% bigger than normal, so I got even more for free! Woo! haha.

For every 3-6 that you buy, you get a different amount back in coupons. Because I bought 6 BarBQ sauces, I got a $3 oyno (on your next order) coupon.

I paid oop: 48 cents.

I received: $3 oyno coupon. So these are money makers!

Now for my big order!! MEIJER! Meijer had some amazing deals this week!! I seem to have gotten alot there recently!

Bananas were on sale for 27 cents a pound!! So these were: $1.92

Now, we won't eat all these very quickly, so most of them will be put in the baby food grinder, and frozen for Everett.

(4) Softsoap Handsoaps: Originally $1.47. On sale for 99 cents. After coupons, 1 was 19 cents. The other 3 were 29 cents each.

(2) Skintimate Shaving Gels: 59 cents ea.

More Mayo!

(3) Kraft Mayo: Originally $3.85 ea. On sale for $2 ea. I got them FREE.

(3) Kraft Miracle Whips: FREE.

(2) Kraft Bagelfuls: $1 ea

(3) Jose Ole Taquitos & Empanadas: Originally 4.99 ea. Got them for: $1.88 ea. (w/out coupons! These were on a great sale!)

(2) Kashi Frozen Waffles: 89 cents ea.

(1) Jose Ole Beef Taquitos: $2.49

(2) Oscar Meyer Hot Dogs: 25 cents ea.

(5) Hunts Ketchup- Originally $1.49 ea. Got them for: 56 cents ea.

(4) Kraft Dressings: FREE. (Actually got PAID 92 cents for one of them. Cashier literally handed me 92 cents for that order.)

EDITED to add: I also bought a gallon of milk!

The following is for my Meijer Transaction Only:

Subtotals including original prices: $86.99

Subtotal including sale prices: $55.60

Total after coupons, and tax: $24.18

Total Savings of: $62.81

What to do with all my freebies!

So I've been asked by numerous people, "What do you do with ALL that stuff?" Or, "Why did you get 4 tubs of mayo? Do you NEED all of that?"

First, our linen closet is no longer a linen closet! It is now overflowing with toiletries we got for free, or for pennies. Cleaning supplies, deodorants, toothpaste, shaving gel, face wash, lotions, razors, you name it! I wont NEED to buy toiletries for quite some time! If I can get them free, or for a few pennies- why not get them now, rather than waiting until we need it and spending $2-$10 on each item?

As far as the grocery items- our pantry is literally overflowing with canned goods, cereals, snacks, and lots of other things! We currently have nowhere else to put our grocery items, so we're going to try to buy/goodwill/freecycle a large cabinet to store the extra items.

Why do I have numerous amounts of the same item you ask? It was free, cheap, or it was even an item that had an overage. You're right, I don't need 4 tubs of Miracle Whip, or mayo... (I'm getting quite a few more tomorrow too!) but they were free, and I can donate them!!

Recently I have gotten cat food, and cat treats for free... I don't have a cat, so I take these items to the local animal shelter/rescue.
Lots of the canned goods, etc I can keep for awhile, or donate to a local shelter or organization that is in need.
I don't need umpteen boxes of feminine pads, so I plan to donate some to a women's shelter.

So not only am I saving my family lots of money, but I am/will be donating, and helping others out as well.

If you have any local organizations that you like to donate to,or that you know could use some help, feel free to leave it in my comments!!

One more thing-

One more thing, sometimes cashiers or even managers will treat you like crap since you have coupons. It's quite frustrating.

Recently, Tiff had a bad experience at Target (where we've had issues before) and I suggest going to this link:

http://www.dealseekingmom.com/target-corporate-coupon-policy/

and printing off their coupon policy from CORPORATE. Show it to them if they give you issues. We work hard to clip our coupons, and search for good deals. They put their coupons out there, they should accept them with no problems!! but alas, they are not always so nice.

Coupons, links for printables, and more!

This post is mainly for Jess, but most certainly for anyone just getting into coupons!!
I'm on my lunch break, so I don't have alot of time, but will try to get alot of things on here as fast as possible!!

First off, go here:

http://print.coupons.com/couponweb/Offers.aspx?pid=13927&zid=ym31&nid=10&bid=alk0515080549gljkl295010

and print off the Evercare lint roller coupon, and the Dry Idea deodorant coupon! The evercare lint roller can be found at walmart (and a few other stores) in the trial size area by the pharmacy for 99 cents- making them FREE after the coupon. You can print 2 for each coupon. The Dry Idea deodorant should be on sale at CVS this coming week, plus you'll get ECB's for it, meaning- you get "paid" to buy it. (I can go into further explanation of this later)

Then check out this link to a blog I follow, for certain sales, printable coupons, etc. You can trust this blog, it's where I go to find all of my printables, etc. She explains which store has what on sale, and which coupon to use, to get it free- or almost free!! This particular link is for her blog about deals and freebies at Target this week. Some of them you would have had to bought past sunday papers, for the coupons. But some have printables!

http://www.moneysavingmom.com/money_saving_mom/2009/05/target-deals-and-freebies-for-this-week.html

There are PLENTY of KRAFT coupons out right now! Nice ones! If you find them (you can find them using the blog above) print them out! Like I said, most coupons can be printed atleast 2 times each.

Here is a link to her blog about the places you should be able to go for KRAFT coupons. ALSO, you may be prompted to download an application so you can print coupons, it's perfectly normal. You would need to do that, in order to ever print coupons on your computer.

http://www.moneysavingmom.com/money_saving_mom/2009/05/because-i-just-know-you-need-some-more-kraft-coupons.html

The Kraft BarBQ sauce should be on sale at Kroger this week (atleast until tomorrow!!) for $1.08 each. On the above link, you should be able to go to numerous websites to print off $1 coupons for the sauce... making it nearly free. PLUS- if you buy atleast 4 BarBQ sauces at Kroger, it will print off more coupons for your next visit to Kroger, making these BarBQ sauces money makers!!!

One last 'lesson' for today, lol. Lets say Target has a coupon on their website (to be used at their store only) for $1 off Kraft Dressing. Lets also say you have a manufacturers coupon for $1 off Kraft Dressing. Because the one coupon is Target's, you can use BOTH coupons for the same SINGLE item.

Meijer mealbox has plenty of good coupons right now, and put together with manufacturers coupons that you can print off, or get in the previous papers (make sure you buy atleast 1 paper every Sunday- when there are coupons.) then you can get item VERY cheap, or FREE.

Ok, I gotta finish up my lunchbreak, but for now-- that's what I got!! Hope this helps!! If you need any help Jess, CALL ME!! (or anyone else that I know)
I'm always down to talk coupons!! haha. I'll also be doing my last minute week-end deal shopping tomorrow if you want to join!! I'm sure I need to hit up alot of stores! (Ads end on Saturdays.)

This is an old video of Ev !

Just seeing if this will work!!

Ev and Mommy Day.

Today I missed Ev soo much! I mean, I always miss him- but today I missed him SOOOOOO much! I counted down the hours until I got off work. I left for Tiffany's to pick him up, and she called and said they were stuck in traffic! (From leaving the museum) I didn't mind at all, but was sad that I'd have to wait a little longer to see my little man!

Once Ev was home, I decided it would just be a mommy-evvie day! No tv, no internet, no couponing, no shopping! We played, cuddled, and had a good time together eating bananas and crackers! I truly enjoyed his company today, instead of getting stressed out. It's not that I don't enjoy him, or anything- don't get me wrong.... but it does get very stressful sometimes because Chad has such crazy hours, I feel like a single parent sometimes.

Once Ev fell asleep in my arms, I held him for quite awhile until we were both sweating. haha. Then I put him to bed, and started on my daily coupon routine of course! lol. I printed out numerous coupons, and even organized alot of mine from the past 2 weeks!!

I'm headed to bed now- I'm SOO tired!! Hope everyone had a good day!!

Pictures of my man!!

I miss Ev SOOOO much today!! I'm at work, while he's with Tiff and the kids headed to the museum! Oh how I wish I was there!!

Here are some recent pics of my little (little?!?!??) man!!

Ev trying to eat rice!!

No one ever comments on my blog! I feel so unloved!! Is anyone out there?! lol

Weekly Challenge to My Readers! 5/10-5/16

Each week I will try to present a new challenge for myself and the readers to do!

This week's challenge:

"No Junk food spending!"

No fastfood or eating out, unless you're using free coupons.

No vending machine candy/pops.

No buying snacks through the check out, etc.

Lets see how much you can save this week, by cutting out junk food spending! Not only will you save money, but you may even lose some weight!

Chad and I plan to save about: $20 this week alone, by following this challenge.
Chad spends about $2 in pop a day at vending machines at work.
I tend to buy pops and small snack at the dollar store near where I work.
So no more!!! Let's see how much we save!

Total Savings for today:

Forget to mention my total savings for the last post!

Everything totalled together:

Subtotal: $100.12

Total: $31.56

Savings: $68.56

The week's end sales/deals!

First things first! The other day I went to Kmart, who was doing double coupons until May 9th! I bought:

(2) Right Guard deodorants: $0.49 ea.
(2) Bic Soleil 4 pk razors: $1.29 ea.

Subtotal: $15.56

Total after coupons and tax: $4.19
Savings of: $11.37

Then today I had LOTS of shopping to do this morning because all of the sales were ending today! (Well, I'm posting this at 1:45 am, so technically yesterday!)

I went to a total of 3 Targets, looking for more Chex Mix! There were none left!! Tiffany got some, so apparently I hit up the wrong Targets!! :-D

So on this trip I got:

(2) Bags of Chips Ahoy: $1 ea.
(2) Chocolate Teddy Grahams: $1 ea.
(2) Teddy Grahams Trail Mix: $1 ea.
(2) Renu eye solution: $0.52 ea.

Subtotal: $15.02

Total after coupons and tax: $6.92
Savings of: $8.10

This trip is a little bit different. Since everything I was getting was free, PLUS an overage, I had to buy something, in order to make it work. (They won't give you cash for the overage) So I bought a 20 oz. Mt Dew as well.

(4) Banana Boat sunscreens: FREE (plus $0.01 overage on each)
(9) Hershey's Bliss candy bars: FREE (plus $0.01 overage on each)
(1) 20 oz. Mt. Dew: $1.49 original price

Subtotal: $14.36

Total after coupons and overages: $1.36 (notice it's less than the Mt. Dew's original price, because of the overages.)
Savings of: $13.00

My last Target transaction! This trip I got:

(2) packs of Kotex pantiliners: $0.02 ea.

Subtotal: $2.04

Total after coupons and tax: $0.18
Savings of: $1.86

Ok, now for my Kmart transaction today!! They were still doubling coupons, so I went there for much needed dog food, and some freebies.
(4) Purina Dog Chow 4.4 lb bags: $2.79 ea.
(2) Purina Kitten Chow: FREE
(2) Goodlife Cat treats: FREE

Subtotal: $27.14
Total after coupons and tax: $12.70
Savings of: $14.44
The dog food equals $0.63 per pound. The bulk bag we used to buy at the local pet store was $0.90 per pound. We have now found that buying in bulk doesn't always mean saving money. Sometimes buying smaller items, with coupons, means big savings!!
So this was my purchase at CVS today!! CVS is a little different. For certain things purchased each week/month, you will get a print out with your receipt for "Extra Care Bucks" that can be used on your next purchase at CVS. They spend like cash, but look like receipts. If you use them wisely, you can go to CVS each week, bring home items, and never pay more than $1 oop (out of pocket) because you can always buy things that will get you ECB's, and pay for them with your old ECB's. Get it?
(3) Kellogg's Special K Cereals: $0.67 ea.
Subtotal: $10.00 (on sale!)
Total After coupons: $7.00 oop (out of pocket) I got back: $5 ECB. (Extra Care Bucks.)
Total after OOP and ECB: $2.00
Savings of: $8.00

This next purchase was from Walgreen's. Walgreen's works similar to CVS. Theirs is called "Register Rewards." They look just like the coupon print outs you get at grocery stores(Catalina coupons) but they spend like cash at Walgreen's. For certain items purchased, you get RR (Register Rewards) to print out, for your next purchase.
My transaction today:
(3) Pert Plus for Men: Dandruff Shampoo/Conditioner: $0.13 ea.
(1) Pert Plus for Men: Three in One: $0.13
Subtotal: $10.00
Total after coupons and tax: $5.21 oop. I got back: $4 RR.
Total after oop and RR: $1.21
Savings of: $8.79

My last transaction was at WalMart. Unfortunately, the one we went to didn't have alot of the things that were supposed to be on sale! This Walmart didn't even have the NEW dollar aisle that Walmarts have now!! I was very sad!

Anyways, my transaction was:

(4) Velveeta Shells and Cheese: $0.75 ea.

Subtotal: $6.00

Total after coupons: $3.00

Savings of: $3.00
