Hello everyone!! For those of you just joining, my name is Brittany, and I'm 23 years old. I have one amazingly gorgeous (if I may say so myself!) son who is almost 6 months old! I have a great boyfriend who would probably be my husband if common law worked here.....
Anyways, my mother keeps a great blog going and I've always loved journaling or blogging on another website or 2, so I figured I'd start one here for the family to keep up with!
My grammar and punctuation won't always be exact. I know this will just kill Kevin! hehe. I'm not smart by any stretch of the imagination, so just ignore my typos!
My current goal in my fun-filled life is to find enjoyment in it. I always seem to be running here and there, so I'm trying to make the best of it. I set aside 1 day a week to catch up on all of my DVR'd Oprah's! I love her, she reminds me of a black version of my mother! I mean that in a great way, as I think Oprah and my mother are gorgeous! Today was my "Oprah Day," as I'll call it from now on, and I got to relax after a long day of seminars in Columbus for work.
My sister Tiff got me interested in coupons and so I've been going stir-crazy over clipping, and buying! I couldn't get coupons off of my mind lastnight, and I even had dreams lastnight of clipping, and going to walmart! AHHH!
My plans this summer are to get zoo and aquarium passes so that we can take our son. I know most people would probably think this silly, but I love to try to teach him everything a baby can take in! Seeing the animals and fish will be great for him, and even though he's a baby- he will love it! (It's also a way for us to go out on the weekends, but not spend extra money!)
Some other plans this summer include getting out more! I want to do outdoors-y things such as canoeing, camping, tennis, parks, anything outside!
So, lately I've also been trying to live a little more green. I literally unplug everything constantly in our house (only thing that stays plugged in are the major appliances.) I'm trying to save energy, and money! We also use very little lighting anymore. We could already tell a difference in our last bill too! Being broke can teach you new ways to save!!
Well, as much as I want to stay and blog-- I have excitingly dirty dishes to do, and delicious food to cook! (take out anyone? just kiddin) and I have a son who wants to cuddle with his momma all night!! This blog was kinda sporatic, but I'm hoping to get situated into this blogging thing real soon!!
-Britt.
